FILM Dorset
Denman+Gould curated FILM Dorset, a new, county-wide film festival running alongside Dorset’s largest open studio event, Dorset Art Weeks.
Our aim was to create a truly responsive and community-building programme, celebrating the richness we have on our doorstep. Centring on themes of community, the programme provides cultural and heritage cinema to locations across Dorset, together with community-building events and workshops. By offering a varied programme of films and multi-disciplinary events in unique and unusual locations, we hope to draw audiences and participants with a wide range of film tastes, from a wide variety of backgrounds.
In developing FILM Dorset, we met with enormous enthusiasm from venues, collaborators, partners and audiences, all of whom have helped us to deliver an exciting and diverse programme.
