FILM Dorset is a new county-wide film festival that coincides with Dorset’s largest open studio event, Dorset Art Weeks 2020. Our programme centres on themes of community and aims to provide cultural and heritage cinema to locations across Dorset, as well as providing community-building events and workshops.
We hope to appeal to a wide range of film tastes by offering a varied programme of films and multi-disciplinary events in unique and unusual locations. Our aim is to create a truly responsive and community-building programme celebrating what we have on our doorsteps.
In developing FILM Dorset, we have encountered enormous enthusiasm from venues, collaborators, partners and audiences, who have helped us to deliver what will be the first of many exciting programmes to come.
